 FAQs

  • I get my best ideas when my cup is full creatively. That means I have time and space to read good books, watch good TV and movies, go for long runs, and lose myself in the woods or on a bike ride. Like so many writers I’m inspired by beautiful places I’ve been, and people who have touched my life in one way or another. But mostly, I write because it’s fun to live with a cast of characters for months on end and I enjoy moving the puzzle pieces around to tell the kinds of stories that I want to read.

  • In traditional publishing, so much comes down to luck and timing. The first novel I wrote in 2020 got nine full requests from agents and not a single offer. The second novel I wrote in 2023 landed me an agent, but did not sell. Both experiences pushed me as a writer, and taught me so much about craft and how to tell a good story. No writing is ever wasted—it’s just one step closer.

  • I’m currently drafting a second upmarket bookclub novel, to be published by Grand Central. Release date to be announced!
